What is Rusted12?
In the Rust12 system, players become wanderers, and the gamemaster becomes the Alder. It is the responsibility of the wanderer to keep a safe, open, and welcoming experience for their peers at the table; while it is the job of the Alder to spin a fanciful and exciting Edda wherever the story might take them. Make sure that safety tools are incorporated into your game, and that a Session 0 takes place for your table to discuss what everyone feels safe and comfortable with in their story.
When you build a wanderer, you start with putting together your stats using a d12, then you pick your Lineage, Nation, and finally Charter. Your Lineage, Nation, and Charter all provide you with Moves, which grant you different abilities for play. During an Edda, your Alder will construct a story that will allow you to progress through your Arcs, which unlock and cut off some moves for your Charter.
Once you have completed all four Arcs, your story is ended, and your wanderer is ready to move onto the next chapter of their life.
